THE UNWEIRD PROPHET BOOK LAUNCH

Unweird Prophet.

HEARING GOD.

BUILDING HEALTHY PROPHETIC CULTURE. TRANSFORMING THE WORLD.

A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

Growing up as a pastor’s kid, you see a lot. Our church had a strong prophetic culture. On Sundays, worship would build, and we’d wait for that familiar moment, the music fading, the atmosphere shifting, as the resident prophet would suddenly rise from the congregation and sing out a spontaneous prophetic song.

Sometimes it was powerful and deeply moving, heaven touching earth. Other times, it felt more like a frustrated prophetic person searching for value and expression, their passion unrefined and their voice, quite literally, deafening, often startling the kids nearby. Weird? Yes. Transforming? Not really.

Fast forward to today: I’m now a pastor myself, leading a congregation that’s finding its expression in the prophetic. Yet I’ve noticed a void among the emerging generation across the body of Christ when it comes to the subject of the prophetic. There’s a hunger for something real, but a hesitancy around the prophetic, perhaps shaped by what many have seen, or misunderstood in the past.

I find myself asking some important questions:

  • What does prophetic expression look like today?

  • How can we cultivate a healthy prophetic culture in this generation?

  • How do we restore prophetic ministry, not just through the “prophets on stage,” but through everyday believers who carry prophetic breakthrough into their everyday lives?

  • Can the prophetic be more than weird and mysterious? Could it be part of living a normal supernatural life?

After all, there’s nothing more powerful than a word from the Father spoken in season. When the prophetic becomes relational rather than sensational, it transforms not just services, but people, families, and communities.

It’s time for a generation to rediscover the voice of God, not as a performance to be watched, but as a conversation to be lived. The prophetic life isn’t for a special few, but for everyone who walks with the Holy Spirit. In this book I’ll encourage us to be the ones who listen, who speak life, and who release Heaven’s words wherever we go. A movement of prophetic love begins when ordinary people dare to speak extraordinary truth in everyday places and through this change the world.

Welcome to the Unweird Prophet.
